SIGNING ALERT We are pleased to announce we have signed 6'2 225 lbs defenceman Douglas Carr from the York Simcoe Express AAA midget team. Carr is an exceptional player who sees the ice better than most. Carr was selected in the 2019 OHL draft by the Owen Sound Attack and he was a 2019 OMHA champion with the AAA minor midget Whitby Wildcats. Last season, Douglas appeared in 2 games for the ICE and had 1 assist and 5 pims. Welcome Douglas!

SIGNING ALERT We are pleased to announce we have signed forward Owen Gilbert from Minden, ON. Gilbert played his minor hockey for the AAA Central Ontario Wolves and won an OMHA Championship with the Highland Storm. He was a key player on the Haliburton Highland SS Red Hawks Varsity hockey team and is a former Jr. C North Kawartha Knight. Gilbert is a smooth-skating playmaker and we are excited to have him in blue!

SIGNING ALERT We are pleased to announce we have signed 2003 Kyler MacNeil from Alliston, Ontario. Kyler played on the AA TNT Tornados last season. Kyler arrived determined to make this team out of camp and he quickly impressed coaches, management and ICE vets. He is an intelligent and skilled forward. We look forward to his development under Coach Watson and the ICE. Welcome Kyler!

SIGNING ALERT We are pleased to announce we have acquired defenceman Jake Hagen from the Blind River Beavers from the Northern Ontario Junior A Hockey League. Jake is a 20 year old vet from Scarborough. He played AAA in the GTHL and has played Junior C, B and A in Ontario. We are looking forward to the experience he'll bring to the blue line. Welcome back to the ICE.

SIGNING ALERT We are very proud to announce we have acquired forward Wes Weir from the the Caledon Golden Hawks. Last season, Wes had 30 points in 28 games and added 107 PIMs. Wes has Junior A experience in the NOJHL and OJHL and was a 2016 OHL draft pick with the Soo Greyhounds. Welcome home Wes!

CONGRATULATIONS! Last night the Clarence Campbell Bowl was awarded to the Dallas Stars and our own alumni Joel Hanley for winning the Western Conference Final and moving on to the Stanley Cup final. What an achievement, and a chance to bring home the biggest trophy yet. We're rooting for ya, boys!

SIGNING ALERT We are very pleased to announce the signing of 6'3 defenceman, Jonathan Lush. Lush ('02) is a tremendous skating offensive d-man from Pickering, ON. Lush played for the North Toronto Midget AA team in the G.T.H.L. He racked up 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points and was selected to the Midget AA All-Star game. Welcome to the ICE, Jonathan!

SIGNING ALERT We are happy to announce we've signed veteran forward Alex Moore for the '20-'21 season. Moore ('00) split last season between the French River Rapids of the NOJHL and the Lansing (Michigan) Wolves of the USPHL. Moore tallied 16 points in 23 games for the Wolves last season. During the '18-'19 season, Moore played Jr 'B' for the Brockville Tikis and played 3 games for the Georgina Ice. Moore also played U18 'AAA' for the Toronto Red Wings of the GTHL. We are excited to have you back on the ICE, Alex!

SIGNING ALERT We are happy to announce forward Jackson Carruthers has signed with the ICE. Carruthers ('02) played last season with the U18 'AAA' Richmond Hill Coyotes. Carruthers is an exceptional skater, tough as nails and plays hard every night. Welcome to the ICE, Jackson!

SIGNING ALERT We are happy to announce Reid Lunney has signed with the ICE from the East Gwillimbury Midget 'A' Eagles. Lunney ('02) was the leading scorer for the Eagles and represented East Gwillimbury at the '19-'20 All-Star game. He has also played for the Georgina Blaze 'A' , Newmarket Redmen 'AA' and Central Ontario Wolves 'AAA'. Reid is from Holland Landing and is looking forward to getting started with the ICE. Welcome aboard, Reid!

SIGNING ALERT The ICE adds more talent down the middle as they sign centreman Eric Smith. Smith ('02) was a '19 - '20 Midget 'AA' OMHA Champion with the Newmarket Redmen. Smith also went to the OHL Cup as a forward on the U18 'AAA' Barrie Colts as they went 27-3-4 that season. Smith is excited to join his teammates in Georgina. Welcome to the ICE, Eric!
