This here shows part of GCVSI'S community mobilization process aimed at controlling infant mortality rates in Nigeria. Our determination to ensure that children under 5 years born to mothers that lack access to adequate medical care are given enough medical attention is reflected in what we do. This child is being immunized against measles.... Without adequate medical intervention, children below 5 die from child killer diseases like this one. We are not ceasing from our endeavor to preserve life through our healthcare programs for the vulnerable population. #GCVSI #ngo #childcare #infantmortality #maternalhealth #unitednations #unicef
At a tender age, GCVSI’s International Executive Director saw his elderly father struggle with poor health under difficult living conditions. It prompted him to change the narrative of the predicament of poor older persons who lack proper care due to societal neglect. ..I saw my old father pass through devastating pain and outright societal neglect just because he was poor hence the lack of community resources social security and social protection systems for the aging po...pulation is just like placing a whole population age group in hell while still on earth. I decided to change the narrative by tasking my good conscience to develop a passion for Older Persons especially the very poor, discriminated and marginalized. Amb. Dr. George Andreas - GCVSI. GCVSI is graced with the passion of giving Older and Vulnerable People from low income families reasons to feel relevant by providing them with access to good health, financial resources, and social protection. #GCVSI #ngo #unitednations #olderpersons #humanitarian

Have you heard of the term Indirect (Structural violence)? Structural violence is a form of gender-based violence that exists across every part of the world. It is basically violence built into structures where due to unequal power relations, there are unequal opportunities.... Structural violence exists when certain classes, groups, genders, or races have privileged access to resources and opportunities over others, and when this unequal advantage is built into social and economic systems that control their lives. Women are subjected to structural violence. Hence, the continuous existence of inadequate education, poor health, and financial paralysis among many of them. Because this violence is built into systems, political and social change is needed to address this social violence. And that is what GCVSI is advocating for. #GCVSI #genderbasedviolence #genderequality #womenempowerment #unitednations
