Life is about balance. Having the right amount of balance in your life is so important. Never would i tell someone to completely remove their naughty vice from their life, instead i would tell them that they should have the same amount of good vices to balance out things. A naughty vice could be coffee, junk food or other things like partying all night, not saving or not making time for loved ones....
