So word got out I was trying out keto so I figured I’d make it official and update with the progress thus far. Although it is very restrictive with carbs, including fruits and vegetables, I actually don’t find it very challenging and have found there are tons of options even if you’re on the go or unprepared. The options are endless too, although I’m still trying to get used to slapping butter on everything and pouring oil in my morning coffee or tea. The results for the ...first two weeks have been amazing. I was worried it would all be water weight but my scale (although not guaranteed to reliable) says I’m down body fat and actually says my water weight has actually increased...likely due to me drinking much more water. Although it has been rapid, I feel great, mentally and physically, and imagine things will slow down quite a bit now that there’s not much extra body fat to loose. I’ve done keto before but did not stick as I found my workouts severely affected. Keto is definitely not Crossfit friendly although targeted keto sounds like it’s definitely the solution to that, luckily for me I have not run into any issues this time around but I have also been taking it pretty easy. So that’s the recap on the last 2 weeks. This diet isn’t for everyone but it’s working for us, and by us I mean Tim as he is joining me on this keto adventure! He is doing really well...probably better than me in terms on strictness!
