Welcome to #WhyWeWalk Wednesday a new feature for the month of May. Each week we will introduce you to one of our wonderful volunteers and share why they are participating in Gutsy Walk. This week we are featuring Anantha. She joined the Peel chapter earlier this year. She has brought enthusiasm and a passion for peer support to our team. We are grateful for her dedication to our cause and our chapter. #WhyWeWalk #GutsyWalk #crohnsdisease #colitis #IBD

Our 26th annual Gutsy Walk is only 33 days away! This year's walk will be virtual which means you can do your walk, your way. Walk your favourite path, trail, park or your own neighbourhood. To inspire our dedicated Gutsy walkers, we are introducing a new feature called #TrailTuesday. Each Tuesday in May we will feature a walking trail in Peel Region. This week we visited Applewood Hills Trail. This 6.6km tree lined trail is nestled in east Mississauga and follows the Little... Etobicoke Creek. The trail is family and pet friendly and perfect for anyone looking for a scenic place to walk, jog or cycle. For more information about the trail, see the link below. https://www.alltrails.com/t/canada/ontario/applewood-trail Parking is available at Rathwood District Park located at 1095 Rathburn Road East in Mississauga (Rathburn Rd E & Tomken Rd). Happy walking everyone! #trailtuesday #gutsywalk #crohnsdisease #colitis #ibd #getgutsypeel
