We truly do have the best customers!! So hard saying goodbye but such a blessing we have gotten to know some amazing people over the years!! A little story we need to shareit’s a long one! This week is Get Moore Auto Service 5th year anniversary!!! While we should be celebrating, we’re grieving!! More than you know. We have to move, our building is sold, will be condos, so will be demolished. Our neighbours TSC store couldn’t find a location & closed in Jan. We miss them! We’ve been searching for a year & recently got the final date, we need to be out mid May we have not found a location in Barrie for our... shop, leaving no stone unturned. We had a couple opportunities in Wasaga Beach, so followed them but nothing firmed up yet either. We felt led to sell our house, that we love, and move to Wasaga. The market is crazy as you know & everything in competition so we lost in competition & it was very stressful given we’re looking for house & business at the same time. There is way more to this story I’d be happy to share with you on Gods provision in an unusual way, just ask me & I can share. But he provided a house for us! Every tire changeover season we hear of a few incidents like this - terrifying! Tires often "fall off" cars because people choose to switch their tires at home without the proper tools or knowhow, or their garage doesn't tell them they need to return for a re-torque. Manufacturers recommend having your lug nuts tightened 100 kilometers after having tires installed. This is due to the contraction and expansion that occurs while driving, causing the nuts to loosen. Dirt, debris... and corrosion in the components can also cause loosening if not removed before installing tires. How about a "Tire Tuesday"! It’s tire season, and if you are in need of new tires for the warm weather, you may be wondering if you should get all seasons or summer tires. When making your decision, you should take the climate, driving conditions, and the performance of your vehicle into consideration. ... Summer tires (also known as performance tires) are built for speed and agility and are great especially for luxury and sports cars, since they provide better cornering, braking, and overall responsiveness, especially in wet weather. This is due to the more flexible compound of the rubber, a more shallow tread depth, and tread patterns which are less grooved and allow more rubber to contact the road. The down-side to this is that they become very stiff in temperatures below 7C so they offer less traction and safety during spring and fall. All-season tires on the other hand, also perform well in warm weather but because the compound is designed to also withstand the more moderate temperatures we tend to have most of the year, they may not be as flexible and respond as precisely as a summer tire. However, for most vehicles, they are a great choice as they will still provide the traction they need in the shoulder seasons and have a longer tread life. It’s Maintenance Monday! One of the many items we do when you come for an oil change is to check your tires. Monitoring the health of your tires is vital to a smooth, safe and fuel-efficient ride and is something that can be done by any driver. Remember in Driver’s Education training they told you to do a walk-around of your vehicle before getting into it? Not many people actually do this every time they drive their vehicle, but checking your tire pressure should be done... regularly and not just before long drives or when carrying heavy loads. (Don’t forget to check the spare tire too!) The owner’s manual should tell you the air pressure that is optimal for your tire.
