This comes down to the goals of the campaign and the awareness of your product/service. If people are actively looking for what you're selling, Google Ads should be your first consideration, as it is based on what people search for in Google. They type in "buy red widgets," and you sell red widgets, then the intent to purchase is high. If people need to "discover" your product or service, Facebook (which includes Instagram) is a great place to start. You can... target people based on their interests and online behaviours to focus on those most likely to become your customers. This is the more traditional style of "interruptive" advertising, but with good targeting, it can work really well. For most new clients, we recommend a mix of both Google and Facebook to start.
