Another road update from Parks Canada... Peyto Lake and Bow Summit Opening soon for winter use. Viewing platform remains closed.... On Saturday, November 7, 2020 the rehabilitated lower parking lot and new restroom at the Peyto Lake / Bow Summit day use area will open to winter use. The access road will also reopen to winter recreationalists. The viewing platform, viewpoint and pedestrian trails to the viewpoint will remain closed until July 31, 2021.
For those waiting all summer to explore Johnston’s Canyon November 15th is your day! On Nov 15th the Bow Valley Parkway will be reopening to the public. For those of you that enjoyed the quiet back there this summer, I’m sorry.
