Everything is temporary. . Do you ever find yourself overly attached to physical things? . I don't think there is necessarily wrong with holding onto special things. But, where do we draw the line? Where one too many special items become too much. ... . If we are holding on to everything - then we aren't letting go. . What's interesting is that it can mirror challenges with letting go of experiences/feelings. . At the end of the day, everything is temporary. We cannot take anything with us when we pass. What productivity tips do you find help reduce procrastination? . Chronic procrastination can truly translate into a life you could have had. . I don't know about you, but I find this extremely motivating! ... . If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that life is short and life can change in an instant. Every small step you take is still progress. . Tips for overcoming procrastination: . Minimize distractions. Discover 'Why?' you're procrastinating. Rephrase your internal dialogue. Perform your tasks during optimal times (I.e. if you notice you can focus better/more motivated in the mornings). Promise yourself a reward. Acknowledge what your excuses are. Make a to-do list & set priorities. Break it down into small steps. Surround yourself with folks who inspire you to take action. Try to keep things as minimal and simple as possible. Don't overthink it. Be kind to yourself for your past procrastination and start fresh. . As someone who still has challenges with procrastination I can say that the above strategies have helped me. . Note: For an adult with ADHD, just getting started on a task can often be very difficult, particularly if that task isn't intrinsically interesting. When you're so distracted by outside stimuli, as well as internal thoughts, it can be hard to even make it to the starting line.
