It’s that time of year again. The shop will be open for shopping only on Saturday November 14, 10-4 , for those who are doing the craft faire/ studio tour . Come on up , jewelry, gifts and stocking stuffers, gift certificates. 2 people at a time please.

In October, I did 2 weddings on Galiano Island, out of 9 hairdos , these are the only pictures I took. I didn’t do any weddings on Mayne this year. Nice that not everyone cancelled important life events.

New masks and headbands are in. These are our new fashion accessories. Didn’t predict this one.

My mother passed away on Friday ,June 26. It was a MAID assisted passing. Most of her family was there with her with smiles and tears. I’m reopening this week on Thursday ,July 9. Then Wednesday - Saturday for most of the summer, or until/if we get a second wave. Thank you to those who sent well wishes and patiently waited for me.My mother passed away on Friday ,June 26. Please be patient with me if I don’t return your calls or emails immediately , but rest assured I will get back to you.. I’m facilitating my mother’s end of life journey and having to be on the phone and travel more . I will still be providing services but maybe not open as many days. A different year for sure.

So we’ve been given the green ( yellow) light to reopen our salons after the May long weekend. I will initially only be offering hair services , and giving priority to frontline and essential workers , also to those who had previous appointments . I’m going to be assessing how safe both my clients and myself feel after the first week or so, I’m doing all I can to make this a safe experience. Be aware that if there’s a spike in B.C. cases I might close again. Our island is going to be busier after the 18th.

Hello friends, I just wanted to keep you apprised on what’s happening on my end. So far we still don’t have an opening date. There is info on protocols from states and provinces that are opening up this service industry, I’m paying very close attention. I’ve been preparing and sourcing items that I’ll need for this new and exciting reality. I’m also watching hair tutorials regularly, and whipping my garden into shape. I’ll be sending all of my regulars an in-dept...h email soon, if you want on the list please email me. Yes , you will be needing a face mask, ideally an elastic over the ear kind.
