SCRIPT REVIEW: Matteo Esposito's morality play Sorting It Out delivers a poignant message and pierces deeps. Telling the story of a meeting between an individual with autism, his friends, and an inconsiderate young man, Esposito's play and its message of kindness and inclusion is stirring, but could be fleshed out even more. Tennessee Williams expressed disgust when a production of his play The Glass Menagerie in Washington D.C. was performed solely for all-white audiences. "I can only express my humiliation that a play of mine should be denied to Negroes in the nation's capital," he lamented in a statement. His plays often examined and offered a sharp rebuke of many societal problems that were (and continue to be) embedded in American society, such as racism.
