Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel summer sailing camps for 2020. We believe this is the socially responsible thing to do and we do not take this measure lightly. The health of our sailors, staff, volunteers and the broader community members is always our priority. We know this is disappointing news to the 100+ sailors we'll miss this summer and we're very sorry for that. We look forward to sailing again in 2021. -Andrea and Bruce Kerr

We have our fingers crossed that the Covid-19 crisis will abate sufficiently that we’ll be able to offer lessons in a totally SAFE environment this summer. Unfortunately, if social distancing is still recommended close to the start time of lessons OR if we feel it is unsafe in any way, we will cancel and let you know as soon as possible. We're sad to say goodbye to ADAM today, this will be his last season coaching for us. He's now into his 3rd year of University studying engineering and will be required to work a "real" job next summer. Too Bad! So Sad! We wish him the very best, we were fortunate to have Adam first as a young keen sailor student and and then as a fantastic Coach.

Instructors out having fun after hours

One of the most unique kids' summer activities on the Sunshine Coast might very well be Gibsons Sailing Club. Gibsons Sailing Club offers sailing lessons... for youth ages 8-to-18. Sessions are one or two weeks in length and run from 9am to 3pm on weekdays throughout most of July and August. TEEN Sailing week was a lot of fun with 11 great teenagers out on the water. We hope the rest of their summer is awesome. This week we move on to the Introduction to sailing group and the Cansail levels 1 and 2 groups. We can squeeze in a few more if anyone is kicking around feeling bored! Nothing worse than a boring summer... let's get them out and having fun on the water.
