Career Opportunities - Experienced Facility and Storage Engineers Gideon Energy Services Inc., is looking for 2 experienced facility and storage engineers’ for a long-term contract to work within the Facilities and Storage engineering group of our client in Regina, SK with some travel to the field being required. The successful engineers will be assigned to one of two primary functions. Function 1.... The first is assessment of our clients historical storage wellfile records, review and catalog the surface and downhole information and provide an engineering assessment of the data. Function 2 The second function is to support capital projects in their Storage Integrity Management Plan by completing well workover procedures, creating cost estimates, and managing contractors or site supervising wellsite work in accordance with corporate standards and/or industry best practices. Required Qualifications Hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Canadian Engineering program. 10 years or more experience Be eligible for registration with APEGS as a Professional Engineer Have a score of 9 or higher on the CELPIP General test if English is not the candidate’s primary language. Candidate must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license provide copy. Additionally candidate(s) should possess the following skills: A background in the oil and gas industry in an Engineering role A background in Storage of Hydrocarbons in underground formations as per CSA Z341. Experience in reading and interpreting downhole cased log information. Experience in making recommendations for downhole repairs or abandonments. Experience in dealing with Regulators Experience in preparing for and dealing with the Ministry of Economy or National Energy Board. Experience in reading and interpreting downhole cased log information. Career Opportunities - GIS Technician Gideon Energy Services Inc., is looking for a GIS Technician to assist our client in Regina, SK in loading on-going pipeline construction data and maintaining the currency of GIS products. The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the GIS department. The candidate will be required to work with ArcGIS Desktop, Intrepid (GIS Asset Management Software) and SharePoint (Corporate document management system). Duties i...nclude but not limited to: Inputting, updating and maintaining corporate GIS data products (Imagery, Basemaps, Assets). Performing GIS spatial analyses. Converting and uploading GIS data from internal and external sources (Vendors, Contractors, etc). Performing GIS data quality control, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy; identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the data. Catalog and inventory GIS data, including metadata creation. Creating map layouts and views, and generating maps and reports. Assisting in the development of data migration processes.
