Trying to reach new heights in your creativity?? Let me give you a lift! When I first started on my creative journey I did these 3 things to really get going: Said no to things that didn't fill my bucket... Started with just 5 minutes of creative play Let my intuition guide me on whether or not to play longer than 5 minutes Okay, now it's YOUR time to take action! Which of these steps are you going to take FIRST?
Okay... so this is embarrassing, but I can't seem to learn this lesson no matter how many times I remind myself. Not that I didn't learn from my mistakes, but I could have avoided a lot of this face....... if I would have remembered. Anyway, I'm just here as a friend to give you the green light in case you need it!... YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, BUT YOU CAN'T DO EVERYTHING. Balance isn't about being able to do all of the things, all of the time. It's about knowing when to put more or less energy into the balls you're juggling. So, if you need to expend less energy on something so you can pour more into something else that's important right now, DO IT. I'm learning this the hard way (again) and have to slow down on some things to prioritize my health. When I try to do too much, my health issues flare up. Moderation is a hard lesson for me to learn, lol. Ask yourself if you're doing too much. Think about one thing you could let go of right now, so you can put more energy into something else that needs it. What's one thing you want to prioritize right now? A) Health B) Relationships C) Creativity D) Something else?
What does creativity bring to your life? Joy? Balance? Contentment? Family time? Does it ever bring negative emotions to the front like guilt or shame for not starting or finishing something? Do your perfectionist tendencies ever get in the way? Perfectionist raising her hand , so that definitely trips me up sometimes. But, when I let myself just and be okay with , that's when the joy and balance flood back. I would to hear from you.
