Gingerberry Quilts

Texture! This quilt just shouts 3D to me! A different type of texture! This was a really fun make. I will definitely make this pattern again! I have since learned that there is an easier way to do this, versus sewing Y seams! I learn as I go... The pattern is Rhombus Cube Quilt Pattern by @missouriquiltco. I quilted it with a zigzag pattern, following the seams. I didn't want it to be too predictable so I rotated a few of the cubes. What I am working on. I just finished these three insulated curtain quilts for my brother's camper van. I designed the pattern, used wool for batting and PUL on the back. Two of them are split in half with velcro seams. It was interesting to quilt with PUL! It actually went very well until the binding. I cut it on the bias, mistake! It rolled continually but when it was done it didn't look too bad. Now to figure out how to hang them up! I recently set up a metal baking rack that I found and it works perfectly for fabric! I can see right away what I have! But, I may have a bit of an obsession. I promised myself no more fabric for the rest of the year! Other than backing of course! I have rearranged my sewing space no less than 4 times in the last year and I think I have an arrangement that works. Most loved quilt. This quilt, which I called The Electrician, is probably my most loved quilt to make. I really enjoyed designing and sewing all the electrical symbols. It was gifted to my nephew Jared, who is an electrician. I took some elements from the @flyingparrotquilts Circuit Board quilt pattern that I have and then improvised. Quilts in the wild. I am unable to find a picture of a quilt of mine in the wild! This is the closest I have come! This is a pattern from @geekybobbin called The Downpour. I tried to reproduce a prairie thunderstorm with the greens (hail) and purples. It was an experiment quilting it with rulers, one that I won't repeat for awhile. I am tempted to rip out all the stitches and redo the quilting...
