Springtime brings an abundance of delicious asparagus. If you love this delicious veg as much as we do, keep watch for our yummy asparagus soup. Or, if you happen to have some in your fridge and want to make your asparagus last longer, store them like you would cut flowers! Trim the bottoms and stand the spears up in a glass or jar with about an inch of water. Cover with a plastic bag then refrigerate them for up to 4 days. Change the water as it gets cloudy to keep the asparagus perky and fresh. #fightfoodwaste

Did you know that you can use the green leaves at the base of cauliflower just as you would cabbage? Also, you can eat the stalks! Just grate them and make a slaw, use in a stir-fry, or just chop and cook them. Depending on use, it can help to peel off the tough outer skin. #FightFoodWaste

This community super hero Gourmet Girl Cafe and Catering just donated a whole box of carrots, a bin of squash, and three massive tins of pumpkin so we can make more soup to donate to those who will be needing food during this difficult time. Thank you Nicole!

Well, our branded jars are caught in the covid crossfire. Our retail partners and ourselves will not currently be accepting jar returns, until further notice. Please hold on to them though, as you will get your deposit back once everything blows over. Because of this, we have had to switch to mason jars in the meantime. Same products, same concepts, same labels, just unbranded jars. Please keep at eye at the following locations: IGA gibsons, good care market in the GPM and... a few new delivery services on the coast for our product. We are still working hard to make sure everyone is getting the food they need. We are still taking emails from anyone who is facing food insecurity and needs help.
