Hopped on the sourdough train and looking for a super easy way to use up that starter discard? Just fry it up in a pan! You can literally add the starter straight onto a hot pan, add some flavour by sprinkling over some fresh chopped green onions (we’re all regrowing ours, right?) and maybe some toasted sesame seeds, and serve with an Asian dipping sauce! I stir together soy sauce with rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and a bit of Grandma Spicy Chili Crisp (aka Lao Gan Ma) for a tasty dipping sauce. Give it a try for a great, simple lunch or snack!
When you’re too lazy to make dinner (or lunch!), just throw a bunch of things onto a plate, name it a Ploughman’s Lunch and call it a day
