INTRODUCTION TO HEMP Hemp has been cultivated on planet earth for over 10,000 years. Hemp is used to make a variety of commercial and industrial products, including but not limited to; rope, textiles, clothing, shoes, food, paper, bioplastics, insulation, hempcrete and biofuel. Industrial hemp is not marijuana. Agricultural hemp AKA Industrial hemp contains almost no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana that causes you to get high. However, th...ere are amazing cannabinoids in hemp. (Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant) They are used to stimulate the body’s natural endocannabinoid system. There are numerous potential health benefits to using cannabinoids. Many users have said CBD specifically helps them feel better from multiple different ailments with few side effects. Hemp could literally save the world! (**If it were politically allowed to of course**) Hemp has the potential to boost the economy and create employment. There are many jobs created from hemp fields alone and endless spin off positions in processing the raw material into finished useable products. Cultivating hemp creates tremendous positive environmental impact. Industrial hemp has been scientifically proven to absorb more CO2 per hectare than trees and the end products continue to be environmentally friendly. Hemp also promotes bioremediation meaning it actually cleans soil from toxicity and radioactivity. Hemp seeds are the most nutritionally complete food source on the planet. They contain the daily human requirement for protein, making the seed a great add to any vegetarian or vegan diet. They are high in calories and they are loaded with essential amino acids. All of this is necessary for developing and maintaining muscles. This makes hemp a potential staple for starving countries. If it were allowed to, hemp could solve world hunger or at the very least, assist in the crisis. Credit to google, and all the fabulous articles I have been able to comb through to form Gingers hemp fun facts stay tuned on Fridays for more interesting reads. *
