Hi not much has changed here for us as we go into this latest stay-home order. We are still operating with curbside pickup (Tuesdays 11-5/ Thursdays 12-6/ Saturdays 11-3) and local delivery (usually on Thursdays) as well as shipping for our out-of-towners! We want to thank you for supporting us through this- with everything going on we are just so happy we get to continue to serve you and that you’ve been so accommodating with these new systems and ways of shopping. To be ...honest, we haven’t felt ready for in-store shopping since the last stay-home order was lifted. We know how hard it’s been with this back-and-forth lifting and then harshening of restrictions- it can be exhausting keeping up with it all. We’ve tried to remain consistent and do what we can for what we believe is the greater good for our community’s health. Every day I feel an immense gratitude that I get to run my own business and am willing to do whatever needs to be done to sustain it while caring for the most vulnerable in our city. Supporting small business is vital to our communities- but so is job security (and paid sick leave), housing for everyone, doing our part to curb the strain on hospitals and health care workers (ICU workers you lil angels ), vaccines for those making sure we have groceries/ meds/ delicious take-out, and our overall love and support of one another. This year has been so hard but also so important for all of us understanding what really matters and seeing and learning about how our communities REALLY work (or haven’t been working for years) and how we want things to change for the better. When things feel hard just remember that you are doing your part to care for your self, your loved ones, the vulnerable, your community and this wonderful city we get to be apart of! Throwback to two years ago when we hosted a golden girls themed valentines party! I MISS EVENTS! I MISS HANGING WITH YOU ALL AND EATING DELICIOUS GOODIES AND DRESSING IN FUN OUTFITS! We’re in need of a break and appreciate all of your understanding while we take some time! We’ve started getting questions about how we will operate in the new year so here is some info for you all! we will reopen on Monday January 11th! Any orders placed for curbside pickup will be ready for you to start picking up then. Because of the provincial lockdown we won’t be able to do in-person shopping appointments until lockdown is lifted. We will continue to offer curbside pick...up, local delivery and shipping. Returns/Exchange of Gifts: we have extended our usual 14 day exchange policy to start on January 11th and continue for 14 days until January 25th. If you’d like to return something you can either exchange for something else or for a store credit. The best way to do this is to drop by during our curbside hours and we will help you at the shop door. If you know you want a straight exchange we recommend you look up the product via our webshop in advance to see if we have it in stock. If the item is out of stock or you just want a store credit to use later, we will issue you an electronic one. Item must be brought back to the shop before we can issue the credit. From that point you can use the credit on the online shop whenever you want (they don’t expire). If the item you wanted is sold out we will do our best to keep you in the loop if we will be restocking it. But please note some items aren’t possible to restock due to each company’s production. We know the lockdown makes things a little trickier- especially if you want to exchange for something you need to try on. We urge you to get your item dropped by Jan 25th so at the very least you can get the credit to use at a later date when shopping in-person is possible. If you received a gift card but lost the digital code or didn’t receive one- you can reach out to the gift giver to resend it or email us directly and we can help. Sending you peace and love and gratitude thank you for supporting us this holiday season and this entire bizarro year! 2020 has been very challenging for so many of us and the biggest takeaway I’ve experienced, apart from recognizing my immense privilege in where I live and what I get to do for my job, has been just how much I love being a part of all of your lives in some teeny way. Helping you find joyful little gifts for the people most special to you, providing some so...rt of escape from the grey days, or just getting to chat with you (mask to mask or via the Internet)- you really do complete me! I’ve struggled this year too but can honestly say having this biz got me through, gave me purpose and inspired me in ways I’m still processing. Looking forward to a break and I hope you get one too! Update on our Pyjamas for a Cause initiative: THANK YOU BEARY MUCH to everyone who supported the cause! We were able to donate $1700 to local shelters! Read more about the shelters we worked with below. We were shocked at how quickly the special edition pjs went and think in the new year we will find new causes/ shelters/ initiatives to benefit and continue to sell them. For this first round, Here’s where the money went: Mary’s Place: a 20-bed emergency shelter for wom...xn which provides safety, support and emergency accommodation to womxn dealing with homelessness, poverty, mental illness and/or violence. They have a range of Programs & services; emergency accommodation and safety planning, referrals and advocacy for medical, legal and other community services, and assistance in establishing permanent housing. The Hub: a drop-in program for those experiencing homelessness. Born in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Hub has been providing access to washrooms, hygiene products, harm reduction supplies, and clothing every day since the beginning of Ontario’s lockdown. Their team works closely with physicians, social work, nurses, housing and shelter workers, police, public health officials, and community organizations to develop comprehensive housing and/or addictions plans for our clients. Carole Anne’s Place: a low-barrier overnight drop-in centre that offers womxn a safe, warm place to rest. They operate seven nights a week (and during COVID through the days too) providing womxn and gender diverse individuals a safe place to sleep, a meal, and connection to health and social services. Hibernation Station we just got some cozy and luxe loungewear pieces in for the holidays! This moss green set was introduced in the fall and flew off the racks- so we are so happy to get a restock (and with options in classic grey and the sweater in gingerbread). Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! Just got these super cute kiddo embroidered blouses in. One of my favourite memories of Christmas as a kid was having my mom dress me up in a ridiculously festive ensemble! I remember one year I was gifted a Madeline doll and she was wearing a red coat and I also had a red coat and carried her around all day feeling so special! I found these blouses and thought they would just make the cutest little holiday outfit for a wee one. We have sizes 12-18mon...ths up to 6T- but only one of each size.
