Stronger Together Vancouver is organizing Workout for Women's Day again! "Workout for Women's Day is a coming together of local trainers and fitness studios around International Women's Day (March 8th) to offer classes for charities that support all girls and women. We strive: ... -to provide a space where all feel welcome and empowered to move in their own way, -to support and share the wealth of local movement instructors, -to raise funds and awareness for organizations and causes that support all girls and women, inclusive of trans women and gender non-conforming people, and to promote inclusion, diversity and equity in movement settings. Workout for Women’s Day 2021 will run from March 7-14, 2021. This year's classes will be online and taught by some of Vancouver's best instructors. Participants will be encouraged to donate to their favourite charities and causes that support girls and women." https://www.strongertogethervancouver.com/

Have you ever wanted to learn to play an instrument? Has accessing instruments been a barrier to you? We have lots of instruments that are not currently being used and we'd like to gauge interest in creating an instrument lending library! This would be a free service on the honour system. We'd reserve the right to request instruments back at any time (although we don't anticipate holding in-person lessons/camps any time soon). One instrument per person at a time. You must live within Metro Vancouver (pick up/drop off possible). We have guitars, basses, drums, keyboards and much more! Comment/questions below or drop us a line at [email protected] if you want to get started!

Here's a thought-provoking opinion piece by Swann Barrat, a longtime supporter and contributor to GRCV!
