Every year the staff at Gemmill, Johnston & Jeffries PC donate to causes within the community in lieu of Christmas gifts to the lawyers! This year we donated to the @humanesocietyofkawarthalakes and the Santa’s Sleigh Program! Of course we couldn’t not give them something to enjoy, so we sent each of them away with a tin of home baked goods! Merry Christmas! Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

Today our staff donated 108 pounds of food to the @kawarthalakesfoodsource !! We spent the month of November bringing in items as part of the Reverse Advent Calendar, with some additions of course! We are always happy and willing to help out our community where and when we can!

Welcome October! Business as usual for Gemmill Johnston & Jeffries PC. Hope everyone is staying safe during this unprecedented time! Remember when visiting our office to wear your mask and adhere to social distancing protocols. If you have been in close contact with someone who is sick or has confirmed COVID-19 in the past 14 days OR have any of the COVID-19 symptoms please remember to self isolate and get tested. Together we can slow the spread!

Today Gemmill Johnston & Jeffries PC and the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture division were supposed to be hosting Easter in the Park - a d...ay filled with fun Easter activities for the entire community. With the cancellation of the event, Gemmill Johnston & Jeffries PC reached out to us to make sure that local families, particularly those in need of extra support, could still enjoy the treats they had gathered. We owe a big thank you to Crayola Canada as well. As a sponsor of the event, Crayola Canada redirected their donation of art supplies to us to also give to the families we serve. Thank you to all who had put time and effort into planning Easter in the Park. We wish the event could have happened as planned, but we are happy to be able to distribute your donation through our member food banks.

We wanted to provide an update and let people know that we are still operating and have transitioned our lawyers and staff to work remotely. Real estate transactions and refinances are still being processed in a timely manner - we’ve changed procedures to accommodate social distancing. We will still be answering calls through our office line (705) 324-3577 and we are including emails for our lawyers and staff below if you would like to contact someone here directly. For our ...clients who were scheduled for a court appearance, the courts are effectively closed for most matters and we have been sending out letters advising of your future court date. We want to do whatever we can to continue to serve our community during this time and welcome any and all questions you may have.
