Good morning, Happy March! It's almost spring, 16 more days. We want to thank everyone of you for the incredible support over the years with raising our ever expanding veggie farm up. 2021 is going to be a big year of change for us. It is with a heavy heart and also with great excitement that we are moving on from Glade Organics. Some of you may know, we have just leased this farmland for the last 5 years. The intention of moving forward someday was always there. We will no...w be going to our property in the South of France to be closer to our European family, start a family of our own and see how we can make my productive #french #potager Veggie Garden dreams come true. Please come and visit! Many hands make light work. You can find us in Autignac, France. Our social media FB and Instagram will remain the same. Our name may change over the years but the cast and plot will remain. Our theme will always be: renovations, farms, potager, produce-fruit, veg, flowers, you name it and regenerative agriculture. Please keep following and keep in touch! The farm this year will continue to be farmed in vegetables, grasses and green manures this year by a new farmer. I will share any information on this farm transition. Social Media accounts and anything I can to keep you in the loop of all things organic and vegetables! The name will change but the land will continue to be #certifiedorganic the Farm Stand will remain open and on Tuesdays between 3-6pm. Stand by for further information as spring approaches. Good misty morning to everyone. Wow, it really abruptly turned deep #autumn for us here in the #kootenays .. That snow followed by the deep freeze we were in for about a week really shut down the farm for us this year, instantaneous. As well as putting us into hibernation mode. When the old machine (our bodies) does a full-stop this time of year it's hard to get the momentum going again! It's nice to have a little distance from the farm and feel like a civilian again, not ...just a farmer with endless days ahead. But, we're back! Someone has to plant the garlic! That said, we are selling the remaining produce we have via the @kootenaycoop -they have our supply of fresh #ginger, leeks and jalapenos and at @evergreen_nf -we will keep them socked as long as we can with greens and whatever else we have. Good morning. It is a cool Tuesday morning, and it is with the change of seasons that we announce this will be our final Farm Stand of 2020. We are losing light and heat rapidly, we are doing the final picking on some crops, we are running low on staple crops such as winter, squash, onions, potatoes and all because this was such a great year made successful by you. Ordering ends midnight tonight. This is one National holiday that I understand and I really can get down with. There are no bunnies with eggs, no burly man in a suit flying through the sky, this weekend we celebrate a tangible #harvest. Now as a vegetable farmer, the harvest is real. This is the tim...e of year where we gain a little bit more time for ourselves, partly due to the lack of light, the looming Frost and full autumn that will come, the wrapping up of the season and the harvest in general.
