You may have heard in the news that Gladstone Elementary School had a positive COVID case. Please be assured that THIS IS NOT our school, but a school by the same name in Gladstone Manitoba- a town 150 km west of Winnipeg. If there is ever a case at our school, you will be notified immediately by email or phone.

I moved to Winnipeg from London Ontario in 1987 when I was 20 to play football. After several years as a personal trainer and working with Adults with Autism in an independent living program, I decided that I wanted to teach. I have a degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia and went to get my teaching degree at age 34 because I realize it was what I wanted to do. I started my teaching in 2006 at William Whyte teaching art, grade 3 and grade 5. I joined the Gladstone community in 2014... and have loved being a member of the teaching staff here. I have run an art and games club, each year I have been teaching to provide an outlet for students who love games and art. I have many interests which include the environment, art, sports, traveling and health. I put Geothermal heating in my house and solar heating for my pool. I try to keep fit by playing hockey, biking, swimming and walking often with my family and friends. I used to play Ultimate Frisbee as well. I love to travel and learn new cultures. I hope to get more time to travel once the pandemic is over. Maybe one day when I have time I will sit on a street in distant city creating art just for the joy of it. I hope we can have an outdoor classrooms with garden boxes so the students can learn outdoors more effectively. This would allow composting and provide the community with a beautiful area to share. My family includes my wife and my two sons Aidan and Liam. Both my boys are involved in several activities to stay active which include: hockey, piano, dance, swimming and Scouts. My family is an important part of my life and I relish my time with them. As a teacher I believe that my students are like my second family and treat each students as I would my family. I hope this helps you get to know me a bit and I look forward to getting to know each one of you more as the year passes by. See more

Hello Gladstone families! My name is Mrs. Goldenberg. I teach nursery/kindergarten in the afternoons This will be my 11th year teaching at Gladstone. I am truly lucky to have spent so much time at such a wonderful school. The families and staff together make an amazing community. I have spent my whole life living in Winnipeg. One of the great things about Gladstone is that I get to meet families from around the world. I love learning about all the different cultures t...hat are part of our great school. Away from school, I am the proud mother of two active boys, ages 11 and 13. Much of my free time is spent entertaining them and driving them to their various activities. I also enjoy spending time visiting with family and friends, going for walks and bike rides, going to sporting events (hopefully they return sooner than later), reading, playing games and doing a variety of word puzzles.
