Inspired by the adorable new song by Pink and her daughter. Here in Saskatchewan it’s been frigidly cold, but we get the most amazing sunshine as well. The sunshine is greatly appreciated, but don’t be fooled thinking, even with the cold temps with this amazing sunshine that SPF is not needed! Personally I am a sunshine girl all the way and counting days down to spring and summer, but I have to remind myself too ... SPF Carmillina. So just FYI this tip will show up frequently. It was family day today here in Saskatchewan, so my mama came in for a Diamond Microdermabrasion. We were working on some pigmentation, a little bit of faint scarring as well as overall tune up with some pores and fine lines. The results were amazing! I had her on a lower setting, to get her use to it. I used Anubis Med Total hydrating line for her cleanser and toner, along with Anubis Med Repair mask after treatment and sealed her off when some Anubis HA+ cream. This hardworking nurse came to me a week prior for a consultation with numerous skin concerns and wanted to start a plan of action in achieving all her skin goals. With her busy work schedule, she had no skin routine. Some of her concerns were pigmentation spots (sun-damage), scarring, texture issues. Along with long hours of being masked she was having some skin spotty issues. Upon observation at the consultation; besides the most obvious with pigmentation and some scarri...ng, I could tell her skin was asphyxiated in a lot of areas (lacking oxygen) and dehydrated, but in a few small areas there was some over oil production. As we went over the numerous different ways of starting to address her concerns; as well as giving her options on how gradual to aggressive she wanted to start her journey of achieving these goals. My first step was getting her use to doing some basic skincare at home and prepping her skin and herself to start. I didn’t want to overwhelm her so I kept it basic and easy, this way it’s more of a guarantee that it was manageable to stick with it and keep going long term. It’s imperative especially with doing treatments to be doing skincare as well at home not only for healthier skin on a day to day basis, but also aids in the healing of the treatment to achieve optimal results throughout, as well as to sustain the longevity of the results. We chose to put her on NE Anubis Line ( cleanser and toner), Anubis Rice Peel as well as Anubis Ha+Cream. I chose this line because it is simple to use and my goal was to treat her skin normal and by using this line, my hopes were to have her skin between the asphyxiation + dehydration +with tiny areas of oil to start adjusting on behaving more normal. She decided to book for a microdermabrasion to start one week after consultation, this way she could start practicing to keep up with a basic routine as well as prep her skin . My mistake was not to take a pic this day lol. One week later as she walked in I could tell the immediate difference in just 7 days. Her skin was no longer extremely asphyxiated and hydration was noticeably restoring.
