Donate your empty pill vials to SAGA. Pill vials are one of the items that are hard to get on the island in Belize. If you have any old empty pill vials collecting dust in a drawer, consider dropping them off at our clinic this week. We will wash them and package them up to bring with us. We are at it again! Some of our crew is heading to Belize in December! Saga Humane Society hasn't had a veterinarian on the island since Dr. Heather left in March when the pandemic was announced. There are so many animals that need care, vaccines, surgeries, spays and neuters. Finn update: Last week we shared Finn's cruciate surgery with you. We are happy to tell you he is doing great! The first couple of nights were hard, he didn't sleep well unless snuggling with mom so a mattress on the floor was the solution to stop him from jumping off the bed. Now he is used to wearing his cone collar and sleeping through the night. His pain medications have been decreased from 3 times a day to twice daily and his antibiotics that he finds in anything they ...are hid in will be done on Thursday and he can't wait to never have another one of those. Hot dog, cheese, bread, cream cheese, he can find it in anything! He has been getting a leg massage and we have been doing range on motion rehab on him 3 times a day to keep his joints healthy, and he is allowed to go on little walks again and he is using his leg when he goes for walks. I will update again after his suture removal and recheck next week. See more
