On Thursday, I experienced a rare honour few Private Member MLAs are granted, the passing of a Bill they sponsor in the legislature. Bill 211, The Municipal Government (Firearms) Amendment Act, addresses a concern of thousands of Albertans and their private property. Law-abiding Albertan Firearms Owners must maintain their clarity on Canada’s Firearms legislation. I am proud that our government is standing up for our peaceful citizens and their property rights. I am so grateful that our government recognized Bill 211 as being so vital to Albertans that they allocated time in their agenda to its debate as they would have a regular Government Bill. Thank you to all of my colleagues who voted in favour of this Bill.
