Glasstorations 30.04.2021

In the beginning of September my friend Danielle Fontaine Koslowsky was approached by a friend of hers, asking if she would be interested, or knew of someone that would be interested in doing a large Stained glass project. Danielle said she was not interested, and gave the designshopgirls my information. And so began the biggest stained glass project in my history so far. I was given this drawing as a sample of what it would generally look like

Just finished creating three new vintage inspired stained glass panels. Sold individually or as a set of 3. 16X34 each. DM me for pricing.

This is the finished product in a frame with back lighting made by Trickett Interiors. The panel is in the reception area of Ubisoft Winnipeg on McDermid ave. The main panel is 5 feet tall by 9 feet long and the wing to the right is 2 feet tall by 6 feet long. It has a bit of a presence when you enter the reception area. A shout out to Danielle Fontaine Koslowsky, Designshopgirls ( Debbie and Melanie), Trickett Interiors, and Kent Wilson from Ubisoft. What a great bunch of people to work with. Artistic, creative, professional, confident, and open minded. Willing to do business again with any of these people.

Just a few more colours to pick. The swirl is all cut. I am hoping that will be the most challenging piece of the puzzle.

Just completed a full restoration on this beautiful panel. 12 broken pieces replaced and 13 more pieces replaced because I couldn’t find a match that satisfied my quality. The gold pieces are the ones that I couldn’t find a match for, so I used the colour you see here which is a period texture and colour just slightly lighter than the original. Tomorrow I bring it to the client.

Brittney ( from La Perfumerie)and me installing the enneagram stained glass panel in the door at La Perfumerie on 145 Evanson st. in Winnipeg. Pay them a visit sometime and let them tantalize your senses. Look them up on line.

The enneagram that Michael from La Perfumerey commissioned me to create for his business. Next step is to put it in the door of the Perfumerey. I hope it fits . I will be installing it with his assistant Brittney while he is holidaying. A pleasant surprise for Michael when he gets back

So close, but yet so far from done. Some of the soldering is done on this side, but none on the other side

Ohh fun, fun, fun. Don’t spare a millimetre. Why do I so enjoy a challenge. I could just make a simple panel ( nothing wrong with that) but I need to be challenged. Most stained glass artists would understand the challenge a piece like this can bring

Circles are challenging. Pieces must be quite precise. An out of round circle can ruin the look of the panel.

A rose is a rose is a rose. Some are just prettier than others, keeping in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is the centre piece of the enneagram that I am making for La Perfumerey

I got commissioned to do a stained glass enneagram with a rose in the middle, by Micheal at La Perfumerie in Wolseley in Winnipeg. This is the pattern that I drew for making the panel.

This floats my boat is done. I had a lot of fun doing this project. The colours in the reflection mirror the colours on the boat. The yellow pieces of glass above and behind the boat are moon diamonds ( reflections of the moon) on the water. I think this would be a great piece to put in a end table with a light underneath. It is for sale for a reasonable $250. Size 24X14 1/4
