What a great option to treat yourself or pass on as a gift! My sisters bouquets are always so beautiful!

Modern fabrics in a traditional design. This curved log cabin quilt is a riot of bright fabrics paired up with a gentle cream to balance it out. Stitched an open feather design on the cream that meets up to a beautiful center medallion and flows along the cream rings. A bold flower design matches the bright colours of the bright rings around this quilt. Simple border design to complete the outer edge around this quilt. Sure to brighten up any room!

About a month ago, an old friend became a grandma for the second time. This little guys name is Dante and he was born on St Patrick's day. On the surface this appears to be a modern baby quilt but its the details stitched in this quilt that make it very personal for this baby. His full name is stitched out in the cross sashing of this quilt, as well as his date of birth, weight and length. A little celtic stitching completes the outer border and inner sections. Since is dad is a firefighter I put a fire engine over the large black letters of his name. If you look close you can see the word 'FIRE' between the letters N and T. A true keepsake for this family to always have!

Been so busy sewing tops that I had lost sight of how many I had in my pile ready to be quilted. Surprise! it was close to 20! Yikes! Eleven of them were baby quilts, so I spent a good few days getting the tops quilted and bound. It was a sunny day today so I have hung a few of them out - some old favourites and some new designs. They are stitched with animals, monkeys, stars and a little modern design on the chevron quilt. Now, on to the bigger tops. Have a great day, come on warm weather!

I saw a photo of a block on Pinterest that really caught my eye but after a lot of searching couldn't find the pattern or full quilt that it came from. So after dusting off the old math skills, I broke the block apart into sections and created my own pattern. Once I had the blocks sewn up they needed to be set together. Wide sashing with a sawtooth star as cornerstones completed my design. Did alot of custom quilting on this quilt - from the blocks and sashing to the outer borders. This is my new favourite quilt (heard that before, right!)

Check out this beautiful Canada quilt. This was created by a cousin, I only had the pleasure of quilting it for her. She appliqued a braided maple leaf on a white background and bordered the sides with a brick pattern of bright reds. The top and bottom have a variety of familiar Canadian animals and symbols. The entire quilt was her own creation pulling ideas from many quilts she has done in the past. I was fortunate to find a quilt pantograph called O Canada that features the maple leaf and flying geese. She did a great job, didn't she!

Another little girl is moving into her Big Girl bed and her mom wanted a soft sunflower quilt for her bed. Now, I could have stitched a nice edge to edge design on this quilt but noooo! If you look close you will see the clouds in the sky, butterflies, bumblebees and dragonflies around the flower heads - which, by the way spell out her name in an oh-so-subtle way. Follow the leaves down the stems and at the base is a turtle, bunny, cat and little ladybug. A row of happy, loopy hearts finishes up the bottom edge of this cheerful quilt. Okay, maybe I had just too much fun quilting this one out! Hope she enjoys looking for all the bugs and animals on her new Big Girl Quilt! Oh, and the wind wasn't totally cooperating with me, but you can see the two sunflower stripes on the back also.

For all of you that love fresh flowers on your table, here's a great idea! My sister is looking to start a subscription service. If any of you have gotten her bouquets at the farmers market or her shop, you know they are always gorgeous with the most unusual flowers. Check it out in the months to come!

Just finished this colourful quilt for a little girl moving to her first big girl bed. The pattern is Shooting Stars by Robin Pickens. Colourful purple, blue and teal stars on a dark plum background. Stitched it out with a swirling group of stars to complete the theme.
