Gleemer Imports 27.05.2021

The LCBO will no longer be operating their "Products of the World" program. What's this program and how does it affect Gleemer clients? Traditionally, we'd order extra cases to go to PotW. The LCBO's system, as you know, makes it so that you have to buy whole cases. PotW gave us and our clients flexibility - they could order single bottles. This worked really well with some of our products that clients hadn't tried and didn't want to shell out the $$$ to buy a case. PotW was... flawed. We'd get their cases to them in January and, come April, they still hadn't posted the bottles. They'd screw up orders repeatedly. They'd be allocated 12 cases of a beer and only put 2 cases at a time, then wait 2 months, put up another 2 cases, repeat. BUT....it was still a way for y'all to buy singles of beer. They've replaced the program with a new program that's more in line with their shelf-listing program, which really sucks for us. Lots of hoops to jump through for the beer to be listed, including ridiculous label reviews and cardboard box crush tests that 99% of Belgian beer cases fail. If you want to buy Gleemer beer, here are your options: Single bottles - we have a good number of stores that carry our beer and sell by the bottle. The list is here: https://www.gleemer.ca/where-to-drink/ There are two FB groups that organize case splits. Totally legal for our clients to share and split cases, totally not allowed for us to open a case and sell it. LCBO.com - wait, what? Yes, we've still done some big orders (with 3 Fonteinen) that will be coming online in 2021. Single bottles of lambic will be available in big bursts. One should hopefully be available by spring. The other? Well, as with the LCBO, we're waiting on them. Hoping late summer? But when single bottles are available online, we'll post on here, via our newsletter or on Twitter.

3 Fonteinen tumblers are on their way! Here's hoping our friends at Canada Post gently and safely deliver these to us. ETA is early April and will be for Toronto pick-up only. Price will be announced before the release. A special thanks to Gaetan at 3 Fonteinen for taking the time to look into shipping and to make sure we can have the appropriate glassware for this beer.

It's available. It's amazing. Think we'll be sending an email to Dolle this coming week....

It's our dream that all of our breweries will, one day, become organic and low CO2 emission. 3 Fonteinen's halfway there with them now being certified organic!! https://us2.campaign-archive.com/

We think it's time for another Fantome order, don't you? Seeing that people were losing their s%&t over the last batch of Saison, we'd be jerkfaces to not bring that back. We'll also be bringing in Triple Strange. What's in it? Who knows. Beg Dany to share the secrets of the ghost and he'll stay silent. "French herbs", we believe. Sometimes it's great just to take a chance on a higher-abv Fantome and see what it's all about. ... We're also daydreaming of a more normal 2022, where we can continue to bug Dany to let us come and do a Gleemer Fantome collaboration and for him to continue to say "non".
