All boxed up and ready to go to its new home. Don't know where that is yet, however
Another painting sale. Unbelievable
The second truck in the series. A 1941 Ford fire truck. This truck was built for the RCAF and converted to all wheel drive by Marmon-Harrington. It was purchased by the McBride fire department in 1957 as its first fire truck. It served in that role for many years, and when a new truck was purchased it went Zeidler Forest Industries to work there. It has since returned to the village where it now awaits a possible restoration. 24x18 acrylics on canvas.
In 2016 I began a series of paintings of the trucks found around McBride BC. This was the first of 9 completed paintings and 1 under construction. All of the paintings are of local trucks the newest being a 1968 and the oldest a 1930. This particular truck us a 1947 Federal that worked pulling a lowbed for Harstead"s mill. Brought back to life in the mid 90s it can be seen at local car shows and parades pulling an early 50s Westeel trailer salvaged from the bush at Crescent Spur. 18x24 acrylics on canvas
Coming along nicely
I already have a tentative title. "I want to be a hotrod" or something like that
No name yet. 12x24 acrylics on canvas
I was a painter once again today. Satisfying result
Tired old soldier 18x24 acrylics on canvas. This painting moved away today. It felt the city life in Toronto was more to its liking.
Oils on canvas 16x20
