It was a beautiful weekend for a Village wedding. We were honoured to witness an outdoor wedding this past weekend for one of our residents granddaughters. Wishing the happy couple many years of love, laughter and happiness.

It's that time of year again when we need your help to determine which neighbourhood will win our annual pumpkin competition. Please cast your vote in the comments. Winners will be announced Monday morning. The neighbourhood with the most votes from both ballots and Facebook, will win a neighbourhood Tim Horton's social. Good luck everyone! Thank you everyone for participating. The winner of this years pumpkin contest is pumpkin number 4 the spaceship pumpkin from pondmills neighbourhood. Congratulations. They will be receiving Tim Hortons for the entire neighbourhood.

Tonight we had our annual whole home steak and chicken bbq with cesar salad, baked potatoes, carrots and ice cream sundaes for dessert. A big thanks to Jim for barbecuing. It was delicious!

These last couple of weeks we celebrated Christmas in July, travelogue to Georgia with peach cobbler, flower arranging, baking, artist at work, Java Music Club, Hymn sings, active games and had outdoor entertainment from Barclay, a brass ensemble and Eric Lunn. Happy Friday!

Over the last month residents participated in National Donut Day, each neighbourhood enjoyed outdoor entertainment from Suzie Q and The Goldie's, flower arranging, spa day, pub afternoons, baking with apples, crafts, bingo and many more recreation programs.

We have had a busy couple of weeks at our Village. We celebrated some fun themed days such as "Gorgeous Grandma Day, National French Fry Day", we had an ice cream social, lemonade in the shade, art therapy, outdoor patio parties, baking, bingo, Church Services, crafts, flower arranging and much more! We celebrated Canada Day this past week taking some funny photos and eating some tasty treats. Residents participated in a Hawaiian Day, did more gardening, outdoor walks, ice cream sundaes, flower arranging and lots more! Happy Friday everyone! We hope you have a great weekend.

Over the last week residents participated in a variety of different activities. Some which include: planting and watering our gardens, filling bird feeders, enjoying the sun out on the balconies and in the courtyards, watched documentaries, had a country and western day, manicures, created a prayer flag, ice cream social, travelling smoothies, strawberry social, smore making, celebrating Pride Month learning definition and history and making art work "Love Wins", horse races and much more! This last week we've been busy planting flowers in our courtyards and on the balconies. We've taken advantage of the nice weather and have been spending more time outdoors. We celebrated National Donut Day, wacky hair day, travelling strawberry social, bingo, Church Services, many family technology visits, window visits and much more! Father's Day is quickly approaching and if you would like to send your Dad a personalized card, please email Holly Ross at [email protected]. In your message please note who your Dad is, what neighbourhood he lives on and your personalized message that we will put into a card for you. It was another great week at Glendale. The weeks are flying by! I guess its true what they say, time flies when you're having fun. Some of the activities residents participated in this past week include: morning makeovers with hair, makeup, nails and facials, travelogue to Ecuador where residents learned about Recreation team member Michelle's experience when she travelled there and tasted some plantain chips! We enjoyed flower arranging, traveling ice cream sundaes, BINGO, patio socials, outdoor walks, gardening, painting bird houses, lunch out in the courtyard, celebrated a 66th Wedding Anniversary, tea tasting and many family visits using technology.
