A question for my followers this evening: has anyone tried to renew their passport recently? If so, were you able to get it done?

I encourage any folks that are out of the country and plan to extend their stay until restrictions are lifted, PLEASE be certain your emergency medical insurance coverage is adequate. Travel insurance normally requires that your provincial health plan coverage is still in place. Do some checking. Ask all the questions. Oh, and enjoy the sunshine. This post is for my followers that are not my clients, just yet. I’m currently in a ‘holding pattern’ here at Glenda’s Travel. I’ve not been advising my clients to depart the country until the travel situation is a little more stable with regards to rules and restrictions.

Today’s announcement.

Happy New Year to all of my clients, friends and family. As you've noticed, my travel FB page has been quite quiet over the past few months. I've struggled with the decision of selling travel at a time when Covid regulations and restrictions affecting our industry are still very fluid and unpredictable. The announcement by the Federal government last week regarding mandatory negative PCR tests prior to arrival in Canada and many stories like the situation described in o...ur local paper, below, confirm to me that it is not time to book travel yet. Vacation planning and the anticipation of your trip should be enjoyable, not stressful. Who wants to be in a destination, enjoying, when the rules of the 'game' are changed! I am still here. I've worked through many cancellations and various situations for many clients in the early months of the pandemic at hand and I continue to be here for those clients. I certainly will be waiting and ready to help with any vacation planning once our society emerges on the other side of Covid. In the meantime, we wait. I invite you to give me a call or send me a message if you want to discuss future ideas or simply converse about travel, I'd be happy to chat. Remember, we WILL travel again.
