Senior and Tier 2 registration are open as well as minor. At this time, we have very few people who have registered for senior/tier 2 - not enough to have a league. Looking for feedback! The GSL is gathering insight into how our community would like the adult (senior/tier 2) leagues to run this year due to the limit of 50 players per "bubble." We are asking anyone over the age of 19 to take 5 minutes to read our ideas and share with us your input. This survey is for ANY adults interested in playing soccer this year (not just those who typically play GSL in the senior or tier 2 divisions). We have added the option of having a "social"... league but are looking to see if there is any interest. Thank you for your participation. We are excited to announce that the GSL will be opening registration for the outdoor 2021 season in mid April! Some tentative plans to meet COVID protocols and keep our participants safe: We are limited to 50 players per division. Players can only play in one soccer division within the GSL.... Players can only play in one soccer league. Payment will be due when the season actually starts. We will be delaying the start this year - planning for beginning of July to the end of August (Approx 8 weeks). There will be no stats kept and no playoffs. Games within a division will potentially be on more than one night (ex: Tues. and Thurs). These are just a few of the modifications we will have to implement to create the safest environment for soccer to happen this year. There will be more details to come. Although payment will not be due until later, the league will look slightly different this year. Please consider whether you can adhere to these required modifications before signing up to participate. Please note: All of these plans require that we be in the orange/yellow/green zone from EOHU. Again, registration is not open just yet. Planning for it to open mid April!

For those of you who have UCDSB emails as your registration email in PowerUp - they get blocked. ATTN: ARE YOU 14+ AND INTERESTED IN BECOMING A REFEREE? The Ontario Soccer Association has opened up its registration for a virtual program providing education to be a certified Match Official. This accreditation will allow you to referee and assistant referee soccer games from U12 and up right here in the GSL, and elsewhere. If you are interested, please register for the Entry Level Course on RefCentre at https://www.refcentre.com/ontario/ . Successful individuals will be ...reimbursed by the GSL once 5 games have been officiated within the league. September 23, 2020: After reviewing the guidelines from OSA and the government, discussions with the EOHU, and monitoring the current situation with COVID and the community, the GSL has decided not to run an indoor soccer league this fall. We are going to reassess and consider having a shortened league come January.

June 7, 2020 - All online orders for minor registrations have been refunded. Please allow a week for the refund to show up on your credit card before emailing to ask if you have been refunded. Registrations paid by cash or cheque have not been refunded just yet. If you have a senior and minor registration together (online or in-person), those orders will be refunded when a decision has been made about senior outdoor. We are still waiting on Ontario Soccer to make a decision based on what the government and public health officials advise. Any questions?Email [email protected]

The Glengarry Soccer League has made the difficult decision to cancel the Outdoor 2020 season for the MINOR division. An email will be sent out to all participants with information regarding refunds. At this time, a decision has not been made for the Senior and Tier 2 divisions.

Ontario Soccer has just released that all sanctioned in-person soccer events and activities have been cancelled or postponed for the month of June. This was just released today (May 11,2020). Now that we have official news from OSA, the GSL will update our community on the status of our outdoor season after the GSL committee members meet to discuss. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate these unique circumstances.

Ontario Soccer is looking for input from Players, Coaches, Parents, Officials, Spectators and Volunteers on how Return to Play MIGHT take place for soccer in Ontario. If you have a moment, the Ontario Soccer Association would appreciate your feedback. The Ontario Soccer Association is one of the governing bodies for the Glengarry Soccer League.

April 7, 2020 Ontario Soccer has announced today that all sanctioned in-person soccer events and activities for the month of May have been cancelled or postponed. If you are still thinking of registering for the Glengarry Soccer League, please do so online at glengarrysoccerleague.ca. This way, we can be fully prepared to kick off the Return to Play season when announced. All registrations are online. Payment is not required at this time. However, if you are not registered ...if/when the decision is made that the GSL can start, we will not accept late registrations to allow us to have as quick a start up as possible. To be clear, you can register without having to pay until the season starts. For those of you who have registered and paid, in the event that there is no outdoor season, refunds will be issued when that decision is made. As social or physical distancing is not a concern in an online, isolated environment, activities that can be completed online, such as Match Official Accreditation Clinics, some Coaching Courses, registering for future events and competitions such as Ontario Cup, or the outdoor season registration and other activities that do not require public or private gathering, will continue until further notice.

Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer, continues to monitor the most recent developments with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the emerging public health crisis. As the Glengarry Soccer League is registered and sanctioned under Ontario Soccer, we follow the guidelines put forth by Ontario Soccer, who speak with medical experts and comply with government mandates. At this time, the end of the indoor season has officially been cancelled. We will continue wi...th registration for the Outdoor 2020 season. A decision on how the outdoor season will be altered is not being made just yet. We will continue with registration and begin making teams as we normally do at the end of March/beginning of April.
