In 2019, funds raised will go to multiple myeloma cancer research and to Dr. Michael Weinfeld and his research team. Cancer tumours can resist radiation and chemotherapy. They survive treatment by repairing their own DNA. Dr. Weinfeld’s team is developing new drugs that will stop this repair process. Treatment will become more effective with fewer side effects. 31 Years of Giving! Thanks to volunteers and donors like you, the Cross Cancer Institute Golf Classic has raised more then $15 million in 30 years! Next week, #31 Grant Fuhr will co-host the Day. The magic #31 and his teammate will lead us to a different type of victory that will channel funds directly to treatments to make life better for Albertans facing this disease.
