Morocco is a beautiful country and offers a forever fascinating mix of the ancient and the modern. We were very lucky to visit in February 2020 less than 2 weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic began to create chaos for global travelers and adventurers.

This here is part of my story of becoming a photographer - and an artist! Several years ago I applied to and was selected to join an amazing global photography mentoring group (the Arcanum). It was an intimate and inspiring group of creatives from amost every continent that pushed me further into my photographic artistry than any other experience I have had before or since. The mentor that saw something in my application was the amazing photographer, artist and teacher K...aren Hutton. To me Karen is the ultimate creative! For many years I had never met her in person - until this past weekend! I was in California for a conference and coincidently we were both in the same part of the state and found an afternoon that aligned in our schedules. I couldn't have been more excited (I don't say that often) and can't imagine a more inspiring afternoon of photography. Thank you Karen!
