This past summer a small but dedicated group of bird photographers in Maple Ridge managed to capture several species of small birds in full flight with high-speed strobes. On one occasion we captured a weasel attacking the nest of 3 young of a Wilson’s Warbler. To read about it go here: https://globalbirdphotos.com//252-004-wilsons-warbler-202/

I wonder how many of my friends and associates know that I started taking air photos of Greater Vancouver municipalities back in the late 1970s and early 1980s and that most of those images (60,000) are online. By clicking on the link below one can scroll down to a link of a town or city, click on the link, then scroll left to right to take a trip down memory lane to see what these places looked like between 1980 and 2004 (the pre-digital days when pics were taken on black and white and then color film). The fastest film was originally asa 400. Feel free to share. Go here: https://globalairphotos.com/archive-search-cities/?prov=1030
On Sunday I had the bumpiest flight in 40+ years of flying with associate Damon Calderwood. It was also the clearest. There was something else that I’d never witnessed at this time of the year. The Fraser River was an emerald green in colour. See for yourself: https://globalairphotos.com/photo-search/page/3/
I had an interesting time doing some drone photography with Jeffrey J. Jackson yesterday: https://globalairphotos.com/photo-search/page/3/
I managed to fly on Monday and take 600+ photos of Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley, North Vancouver, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey and Vancouver. There are over 40,000 air photos on this side. I’d like to invite viewers to take the short 2 minute utube to learn how to easily navigate the site. I’d also like to request that viewers share the post. To Visit the site go here: https://globalairphotos.com
