New Travel Restrictions in effect as of January 31, 2021 affecting travel to and from Mexico and Caribbean destinations until April 30, 2021. As of midnight February 3, 2021, scheduled commercial passenger flights from USA, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean can only land at four Canadian airports: Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, Calgary International Airport, and Vancouver International Airport.

The interest to sponsor form for the 2020 Parents and Grandparents sponsorship program is now open! "Over a 3-week period, from October 13, 2020 to November 3, 2020, Canadians and permanent residents who wish to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada will have an opportunity to submit an online interest to sponsor form. Once this period ends, IRCC will review all submissions, remove any duplicate entries and randomize the forms." Most recent Express Entry draw sees CRS points dipping to lowest level since 2017! June 11, 2020: Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - 3559 Invitations issued; 437 Minimum CRS score. The downward trend in Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score gives hope to hundreds of candidates in the Express Entry pool, who are currently in Canada, and were previously competing with candidates outside of Canada. ... The tie-break rule was applied in this draw and the date and time used was May 25, 2020, at 00:31:43 UTC. This means that all CEC candidates with a CRS score of at least 437 who submitted their profile before this date and time, received an Invitation in this round. June 10, 2020: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) - 341 Invitations issued; 743 Minimum CRS score. This was the seventh draw targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) certificate holders from the federal Express Entry system since March 18. IRCC has been holding alternate Express Entry draws targeting PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates every two weeks. Candidates eligible for PNP in the Express Entry pool are awarded an additional 600 points on top of their original CRS score.
