ICYMI from Global News Morning Peterborough: For almost a decade the Peterborough Humane Society has been planning for a new, state-of-the-art animal care facility-something designed to operate as much for than a shelter. This new facility would include a pet adoption centre, a publicly accessible spay/neuter clinic and a province-wide dog rehabilitation centre. It’s an ambition project, and requires $10 million in funding. But this week, the shelter hit a major milestone, finally beginning construction at the Technology Drive site.
