Happy Thanksgiving to all! We will be closing at 4pm today so that we can spend time with our loved ones

To say that 2020 has been a very difficult year for us (and the world), would be an understatement. And, our year recently became a little more difficult. Unfortunately, we have some very sad news to share with you, our dear customers. Two of our beloved in-store cats have passed away within a little more than a month of each other. Nugget, our Bedford store mascot and Pandora, our Halifax store mascot. We are absolutely devastated by these losses, but we take comfort in k...nowing they are no longer suffering, and that we gave them a wonderful life. A life filled with endless amounts of love from so many people, the absolute best in nutrition and let’s not forget, being the official testers of any toy or treat they could ever dream of. They weren’t just store cats. They were part of our family. The staff at both locations have written a few words and shared some of their favourite pictures of our sweet girls below It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Nugget on August 28th. She was our beloved pet and store mascot in the GPF Bedford store. Everyone who works and shops at Global Pet Foods knows the love and joy Nugget brings us and it will not be the same without her We would like to thank all staff, past and present, who loved and cared for her during her life time. We would also like to thank the customers who showed her kindness and affection. While she often hid in one of her many hiding places, and was sometimes a grump, she secretly loved the attention. She will be forever loved and endlessly missed. - With heavy hearts we have sad news to share. After a short battle with cancer our long term coworker and Halifax store mascot Pandora passed away, yesterday. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by love. Pandora came to the store in 2005 as a rescue from Bide-Awhile. She loved customers and holding court, as a queen would do, from whatever perch she choose in the store. She especially loved to help customers shop meowing to point out her favorite things. She will be greatly missed by our team and we know by many of you as well. We would like to thank the staff of Fairview Animal Hospital for their support and services during this difficult time. Our team is grieving and we ask you to refrain from asking the employees questions about Pandora during this sad time. Hug your pets tonight alittle tighter.
