Some of my own feedback with spray tanning for a vacation. I get many questions about spray tanning for a vacation, if they should or shouldn't. My personal opinion is DO IT! ** ** Why? Well one of my top reasons is confidence! You feel great instantly in your bikini, shorts/tanks, sundresses. I also found I was more focused on adventures and experiences rather than oiling up trying to get a tan. **... ** Tips to a long lasting tan on vacation. As always, PREP!! I started exfoliating days before spraying and was moisturizing always! While I was there I would always air dry if I went in the water. When showering, pat dry and moisturize LOTS. Keeping hydrated should have been on the list, but let's be honest... I did my best with drinking my mojitos and ryes with soda water . I also wasn't hanging out in the pool for long periods of time. I did not hold back when it came to snorkling and swimming in cenotes. (Dont let the tan hold you back from experiences!) ** ** NOW. What to be CAUTIOUS about!!! You are not protected by the UV Ray's with a spray tan. Load up on that sunscreen!!! I used 55spf on my face and 60 spf on my body. I would mix in 30 spf spray also as it was easy to quickly reapply during the day. I didn't get as dark as I normally do during the summer and that is okay!! I'll just get another spray tan anyway!!! Its better then getting sun damage or even worse, skin cancer. ** ** Last note about my experience. I was on vacation for 9 days. I was out and about experiencing everything I possibly could!!! I found on that last day my tan was starting to show some blotching which is perfectly normal, it was time to scrub off. Normally I can get close to 12 days with my tans, but that's without being outside in the humidity everyday, salt water, pool water, etc. So a 7 to 10 day beach vacation is perfect!!! 14 days you may need to either scrub off or purchase a tan extender that I can supply you to help get a bit of extra time See more
