Grade 1’s tints and shades. What a delicious treat!

Starting Monday, May 10, at lunchtime primary and elementary students will be going outside. Due to space restrictions (maintaining cohorts outside), we will alternate primary and elementary days. Outside days will occur on fair weather days only. All students should come prepared with appropriate footwear (grass is sometimes wet) and jackets.

It’s amazing to see how everyone has taken a shine to our new fish. From kindergarten to grade 6, they stop by to say hello.

May 20 & 21 are Professional Learning Days for staff. There will be no school for K-12 students on those days.

Watch out leprechauns! Our kindergarten students are ready to find you!

The count down to Christmas is on! Here are the activities we’ll be involved in next week; Dec. 14- Christmas Stocking donations (cash /gift cards / etransfer) Dec. 16- Picture order deadline Dec. 16- Virtual Christmas concert at 6:30 pm.... Dec. 17- Reverse Bottle Drive - Bring recyclables to the depot for outdoor classroom Dec. 18- Foster Child donations (cash or etransfer to [email protected] Dec. 18- Scholarships and Awards Virtual Presentation Spirit Week Monday - Xmas PJ Day Tuesday - Crazy Hair Day Wed - Christmas hat day Thursday - Ugly Christmas Sweater Day Friday - Christmas Colors Day Families have been asking about bringing gifts for students and staff to school in Friday. In light of the pandemic, we’re suggesting that gifts not be brought to school. On Dec. 18, there will be class celebrations, but treats for the class should not be brought to school. Dismissal on Dec. 18 will occur at 12:50pm.

Due to the Highway being slippery, we have a delayed bus run. -Charlottetown and Terra Nova will be picked up by Mr. Reid 2 hours later than usual. - Mr. Davis will pick up Mill Cove, Traytown, and Angle Brook Road at regular times -Mr. Collins will pick up the top of Station Road at around 8:30.

Dec 9- in case you’re wondering, we are open at regular time this morning.

Glovertown Academy’s School Council has organized a Reverse Bottle Drive Blitz to raise funds for a Outdoor Classroom. Due to public health measures, we are unable to collect from door to door. We are asking for school and community members to drop off recyclables at the Glovertown Recycling Depot and indicate that your donation is for the Outdoor Classroom. The blitz will occur from Thursday, December 10th to Thursday, December 17th. There are prizes to be won using #outdoorclassroomGA. Please see the details below. A sincere thank-you for your support. Together we can do this!
