As we are aware, Ontario has entered a state of emergency in which many services and businesses are closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In the best interest of all our families, staff and the community, Glowing Growth Autism Services will be closed from March 18, 2020 until April 5, 2020. This includes all centre-based and home-based sessions. Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Disease... There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. However, as a reminder, here are a few other ways you can keep your child, family, and our staff healthy and help prevent the spread of viruses, including: - Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer - Keep your kids away from others who are sick or keep them home if they are ill - Teach kids to cough and sneeze into their arm or elbow, not their hands - Clean and disinfect household objects and surfaces in your home - Limit social activities and gatherings We are committed to keeping you informed and working with our families and staff to keep our communities safe. As the situation with the COVID-19 coronavirus is rapidly evolving, Glowing Growth Autism Services will continue to follow the news, updates, and guidance of Health Canada. Additional precautionary measures for COVID-19 will be taken at this time. As part of this process, everyone who enters the center will be pre-screened by the following procedure: - A non-touch thermometer on forehead will be used to ensure each individual is clear from fever. - Children will be asked t...o wash hands before and after therapy session. - Bottoms of children and therapist’s shoes will be sprayed with disinfected spray upon arrival. - Our clinic will continue our routine cleaning procedures, while increasing the frequency of sanitizing and disinfecting. - Session will be immediately terminated if therapists notice children who display any COVID-19, or flu symptoms.
