For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been working with flower-shop-turned-gourmet-provisions-delivery Mimi & Ry Inc. this summer, curating their gluten-free offerings. You also have the option of adding flowers to your basket All families deserve the opportunity to bring in a customary new year. We are working with Jewish Child and Family Services poverty relief initiative to give everyone in our community the sweet new year we all deserve. As such, we are pledging to donate a high holiday gift basket for each one that we sell. After much deliberation (and some denial) we are sad to announce that Gluten Free Garage will not be taking place on October 4th. There is too much uncertainty about what will happen in the fall and this difficult decision was made with the health and safety of our vendors, attendees, staff and volunteers in mind. What are we going to miss the most? Seeing everyone stuff their beautiful faces! Gluten Free Garage will be back on Sunday May 30th! Mark it in your calendars! Summer just got yummier! Now’s the perfect time to make this corny salad. Here’s how. Mix together: 2 cups cooked corn 1 diced avocado 1 pint halved cherry tomatoes... 1/2 cup diced red onion (I like to add diced peaches or nectarines when I have them and sometimes I throw in some chickpeas and call it dinner) In a separate bowl whisk together: 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp fresh lime juice 1/2 tsp lime zest 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Salt and pepper to taste Stir the vinaigrette into the salad and serve.
