Drive-Thru Update Just a reminder that beginning this week our Thursday Drive-Thru markets are closed. We will continue our Saturday Drive-Thru markets until further notice. We are thankful to everyone who has been supporting our kids' egg business. We have been buying a lot of egg cartons this summer, since their new batch of hens began laying. At the moment, cartons are unavailable or very costly at almost every place we could call over the past couple of days. If you, your parents, your neighbours, or your friends have a collection of empty cartons waiting to be put to good use, they would find a bunch of grateful young Gmachs here. I am supposed to mention that they will be put into "quarantine" for two weeks prior to being used again. We will place a box at the order pick-up tent and the drive-through. Thanks!

Drive-Thru Thursday and Saturday Markets Now Open In addition to our online orders we are running a Thursday (2-7) and a Saturday (10-2) drive-thru market. At the drive-thru market you will be able to drive up to see the display of items for sale. One of our helpers will give you an order list that you simple highlight. Your products will be packed and delivered to your vehicle. It is important that you remain in your vehicle to keep the social distance required by public hea...lth. Thank you to Gary and Leisa for sharing a delicious recipe with us. They credit it to a magazine called "Taste of Home Garden Fresh Recipes". We tried it and it was a real hit (the pictures are of a double batch - there are lots of us Gmachs). This recipe is a wonderful combination of textures: sweet and tart stewed rhubarb with a cakey centre and a crispy top. Enjoy! In a greased 8x8-inch pan, place: 4 cups diced rhubarb ... Combine, then spread on rhubarb: 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup sugar (scant) 1/3 cup milk 3 tablespoons melted butter 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Combine, then sprinkle over dough: (Scant) 3/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon cornstarch Pour over top of everything: 3/4 cup boiling water Sprinkle with cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon) Bake at 350 degrees farenheit, 55 minutes or until done. Enjoy warm (refrigerate any leftovers for the next day).
