Goalkeeping 101

Training with two goalkeepers tonight! The first will be an assessment day and the second keeper will be working on movement, handling and positioning. Progress!!! Tonight’s session with my Metro level keeper saw him make huge strides... literally!!! We’ve been working hard over the last few weeks to develop his extension saves, which has been a weakness for him in the past. 1v1’s... the focus of today’s session with one of my excellent BCSPL keepers. After a few activation drills, we jumped right into the main session with a focus on making smart decisions, the technical aspects of blocking shots and taking a ball off of an opponents foot.
