Come celebrate A Drive by-Salut event has been organised to commemorate Greece’s 200 years of Independence and the 56 Greek Flags the City of Vancouver has raised to honour the occasion. The drive by parade will start at St.Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church on 4541 Boundary Rd, at 11:00am. The car procession will then go by the five flag stations that the City of Vancouver has set up. It will end at St.George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, on 4500 Arbutus Street,... where people can drop off a wreath if they wish. We have great news to share. Our School building is coming along and should be ready for September 2020! We cannot wait to have our students in their new space. For The 2020-2021 Greek School Year Classes will either be On-line, In-Class Instruction, or combination; depending on the Provincial Health Guidelines at the time. We are preparing for every eventuality. The safety & well being of our students is paramount. Today was truly a Blessed Day. Panhellenic Motorcycle Association held our second annual motorcycle blessing which also served as a fundraiser for AHEPA’s Bricks for a School program where they are raising money for the new School Building for the Greek Community of East Vancouver. We assure you it’s not the last that AHEPA and the Grk Community in East Van has seen of us. We thank Father Tim and everyone who came out to this event. www.panhellenic.ca
