"When I get "X", then I'll feel fulfilled" The problem with this is that we are waiting on external events to create our happiness and not changing anything within. In order to change our physical world, we must change our internal world.... Sometimes I see people wanting the results and 'good things' to come without feeling happy and fulfilled before they get "there". The only way to get "there" is to feel it here first! Waiting for others or outside circumstances to make you feel fulfilled first will be a neverending waiting game... " " is the worst advice out there! This week on my #podcast #wordsofwisdom, we talked about sleep being an act of self-love. Our society is conditioned to glorify hard work, losing sleep, and sacrificing health for success. ... I am tired of this message so I am here to tell you the exact opposite! . -. -. If you don't have your health (mentally, physically, emotionally) then you are not operating at your prime....and therefore building a life, business, and household from a place of lack, unease, and deprivation. It's because of this messaging there are guilt and shame around taking care of ourselves, taking a nap, taking a break, or simply saying NO! I am done with this old toxic message and have made a choice to say "yes" to health and giving my body and soul what it needs without apology or justification. Here are some steps to start giving your body what it's asking for: Set a regular sleep schedule (wake up and go to bed at the same time every day) Go for a walk to get fresh air Stretch your body for 5-10 mins Schedule breaks throughout your day Ask for support: hire a babysitter, ask loved ones for help and accept it Rest without guilt and thinking you "should be doing something else" When you find yourself waiting for others to give you permission to sleep remember to take a break or take time out for self-care. Why the heck should you slow down when there is so much to do? In our (wounded) society, we are conditioned to feel like we have to do more, work harder and what we have accomplished is never enough. Do you feel me on this? Well, my friends, this is the old, outdated, wounded masculine messaging that is engrained in our lives. ... The truth is, you can work harder, faster, and more but at some point, you will burn out, give up, or worst, be forced to stop completely (Universal Consciousness has a way of speaking to us when we are operating out of alignment and fear and shows up as a sickness, injury, accident, health issues...). The old outdated way isn't working anymore. The new higher conscious path is what we are being called to. Operating from a place of alignment and higher consciousness looks like taking a break, being at ease, moving from a place of being present, resting, relaxing, allowing more flow, and less force in our life. Basically, slowing down! It may feel foreign to you at first but the best way to start breaking the unconscious conditioning and the delays of your desires is to SLOW DOWN TO SPEED UP. By slowing down, you allow your mind, body, and soul to rest & rejuvenate and restore itself to the natural order of the Universe's flow. Trust me, the ideas will come, the desires will show up from a place of ease and relaxation. It never comes from a place of force.
