We are looking for companies or individuals that own a 3D Printer, Laminator, Sewing Machine, or has extra time on their hands and they would like to help deliver masks. The 3D Printers and Laminators would be used to make hard face shields for the Dunnville & Simcoe hospitals. The sewing machines are being used to make fabric masks with pockets but in for added expandability. These masks will be distributed to the public as unfortunately it is not possible to meet the necess...ary standards to be used in the hospitals. However, these masks will provide a critical role in stopping the spread in our community. Lastly, drivers are one of the most important roles mainly because we are trying to limit volunteer drivers to only delivering masks in their area. It is our hope that this will foster a more positive and determined atmosphere in the community. We will be setting up a fabric collection system temporarily using my business line 289-880-9766. For the fabric masks we are looking for any tight knit fabric or wool, and large fabric covered elastic bands for hooking around the ears. As for materials for the hard face shields, the main thing we need is 5-gauge laminate. With the assistance of local churches, businesses, and community members, our goal is to have 5,000 fabric masks and 500 hard face shields in two weeks. Until we are able to get funding from the government or donations, my company will be using its remaining resources and materials to produce as many masks as possible. I would like to thank Quilt Junction in Waterford for stepping up and donating a large amount of fabric for masks, and Staples in Simcoe, as the employees have gone above and beyond donating what they can to keep the production line running. The sad truth is, we do not have many people stepping up to volunteer. All I have to say is, be strong if not for yourself then for the people around you, because fear spreads faster than any virus.
