Photo posts make up 93% of the most engaging posts on Facebook. Is your business using them to its full advantage? We recommend always including a high-quality image in your posts that is relevant to the message you're trying to convey. For product pictures, try to include a person to make it more personable, even if it's just a hand like in this one. For more tips, like our page!

We're back with another segment of our FAQ from business owners. Like our page so you don't miss out on future posts! This week we're talking about when and how you should start on a SECOND social media platform! This post will be part one of two and will focus specifically on when So, your business has a page on Facebook and you're wondering if/when you should branch out to more platforms. Is it worth it? Are you going to be wasting twice the time and not seeing twice th...e return? Not if you follow our simple guide! When you decide to start on a second platform, you should already have an established page with a steadily growing audience. "But how do I know when I've reached that point?" you might ask. Well, there's no golden number of followers, it varies depending on the platform and type of business you are, but our recommendation is to have AT LEAST hit 100. If you have less than that your account is either still young and you're learning the ropes or you're doing something WRONG and starting on a new platform will only waste more of your time. So, if your business has started to gather a solid following that is growing steadily and quickly, you're seeing constant engagement from your followers such as comments and likes, and MOST IMPORTANTLY you're seeing followers converting into clients, then we definitely recommend taking that next step to start on a new platform! It's the new year and we're back! We're going to start putting out a weekly post with advice and answers to questions we're frequently asked by customers. This week we're answering the question: "Which platforms should my business be on?" This is probably one of the most common questions we get from clients and the answer really is that it depends. When self-managing, we typically recommend you pick 1-2 platforms and really put effort into making them as good as they c...an be. As a business owner, your time is limited and valuable. One to two great accounts are going to prove FAR more effective than four to five ones which will spread you too thin and won't be very high quality. But which platforms should you choose? This really depends on your business but our recommendation is to start out with Instagram or Facebook depending on the age of your audience. Facebook is best if your target audience is between over 25 to 50, with it becoming ever-more popular amongst older demographics. If your target audience is under 25, Instagram is the way to go. Both platforms allow you to share media like photos and videos, allow customers to chat with you, and provide a page to host important information like your business' address or phone number. It's important to learn the social norms of the platform you've chosen, to post high-quality content regularly, and to interact with your followers to help build your following and promote your business. We offer 1-on-1 social media coaching that will teach you how to do all of this and more. Reach out to us anytime if you have questions or would like to sign up! Stay tuned for our next post about when and how you should start on a second platform!
