This might seem a strange thing to do but here’s what I was thinking: the dominant theme of many Argentine tangos is nostalgia and Italians were the main national group who emigrated to Argentina in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.... https://lovesongsinspanish.wordpress.com//a-neapolitan-em/

The following paragraph is an excerpt from my book, Love songs in Spanish for Enjoyment and Learning. (see www.godwinbooks.com) I had just analyzed Hey! as sung by Julio Iglesias. Hey! is a gem of a song about an embittered man who can’t quite extricate himself from the spell cast on him by a Narcissistic woman. As I was writing about it Aznavour came to mind (funny how that works) and I could hear him singing Yesterday when I was young, which is the English version of the original French song, Hier encore. It too is bitter-sweet. [ 713 more words ] https://lovesongsinspanish.wordpress.com//a-great-bitter-/
I am back to blogging, which I enjoy. I ran a blog for about a year (two years ago) but fell out of the habit of blogging. I now think the main reason I stopped is that my blogs had been too long and had taken too long to write. I had learned to scare myself. Maybe I had set myself too high a standard.
